Discipleship is a key part of strengthening your relationship with God and growing in Christ. There are several ways that you can get involved with adult discipleship at Enid First Nazarene:

Sunday School
This is your sub-headline

Sunday school begins at 9:30 on Sunday mornings. We offer several adult Sunday school classes. Please see a member of the First Impressions team to get plugged into a class.

Wednesday Night Bible Study

For adults of all ages. Meeting Wednesday nights at 6pm in the fellowship hall. Led by Pastor Bruce. Here we pray together, share a short devotional, and engage in book studies. Recent study topics include David Busic's Perfectly Imperfect, Dan Boone's Dancing with the Law, Stan Toler's God is Never Late; He's Seldom Early; He's Always Right on Time, and "When Life Doesn't Turn Out the Way You Expect."

Girlfriend's Ministry

The women's ministry of Enid First Nazarene. Join us for movie nights, craft nights, dinner outings, Thunder games, and other gatherings. Get paired up with a Soul Sister for exchanging notes, prayer, and encouragement. There is always plenty of delicious food and door prizes! Find us on Facebook and see our Staff Members for info on upcoming events.

Men's Activities

Men's events and activities include occasional basketball, occasional golf outings, and other events throughout the year.

Care Rings

CareRings are our adult small groups that meet in homes on Sunday evenings for two semesters each year. The spring semester usually runs from February through April. The fall semester goes from September through November. Typically, in each semester, CareRings meet every other week for twelve weeks for a total of six sessions.

CareRings are the best way to get to know other adults and families in the church in your same life-stage. They are how we build relationships with one another for the purpose of encouragement and support. Each CareRing varies in their activities, but all typically share a meal, pray together, and occasionally have a brief small group lesson.

Please contact the church office to find out more about getting involved with CareRings.

Missions

The Mission Statement of Nazarene Missions International (NMI) is: To mobilize the church in mission through praying, discipling, giving, and educating.

Enid First Church of the Nazarene is a local congregation that partners with the global church to accomplish more for Christ than what we could do alone. We believe that there is no greater mission than reaching those who do not yet know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and then helping them become Christ-like disciples. Through NMI, the Church of the Nazarene ministers in 159 world areas.

Compassionate Ministries

Following the example of Jesus, local Nazarene congregations around the world partner with Nazarene Compassionate Ministries to clothe, shelter, feed, heal, educate, and live in solidarity with those who suffer under oppression, injustice, violence, poverty, hunger, and disease. One way we show compassion is through preparing Crisis Care Kits, hygiene and comfort necessities for those impacted by natural disasters around the world. In 2013, we were able to deliver many of these Crisis Care Kits to the victims of the Moore, Oklahoma tornado.

Missions Education

We believe that it is important to educate the local church about mission work around the world. This is done through missionary books, special missionary speakers, and regular updates on current missionary successes and global concerns.

Faith Promise

Faith Promise is our annual focus to make a missional investment in others. Each year we make our Faith Promise pledges by committing to give to missions. Just as Faith Promise monies go to support missions beyond our local church budget, we ask that your Faith Promise commitment would be above and beyond your normal tithes and offerings. It is a way to step out in faith in order to help global missions.

Child Sponsorship

There are so many children in the world who need help with food, housing, and education. Through Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, we offer individuals, families, and church groups to care for disadvantaged children. All sponsors have direct contact with their child on a regular basis through cards and letters. See www.ncm.org to find out more.

Alabaster Offering

Twice each year, we collect money for our Alabaster Offering. Alabaster funds go specifically toward the purchase of land and the construction of churches, schools, medical facilities, and homes for missionaries.

LINKS

The LINKS (Loving Interested Nazarenes Knowing and Sharing) program of the Church of the Nazarene is a network of personal connections between missionaries and Nazarenes around the world. Through LINKS, churches have the opportunity to become personally acquainted with a specific missionary family and their field of service. Churches can send packages, cash gifts, cards, and other contributions to their LINKS missionaries.
